"Men should prioritize their wellbeing"
The UMkhanyakude District Municipality on Tuesday, 28 July 2026 hosted its first Men's conference at UMkhanyakude. One of the organizers Mr. Tallman Sibiya said the event's purpose is to allow the UKDM male employees to interact amongst each other about issues affecting them.
This event was a closed session for men, it deliberated on topics like sexual offences, financial stability, family violence, mental health, marriage contracts and Lobola and child protection.
The Mayor, Cllr Siphile Mdaka applauded the UKDM administrative leadership for establishing and supporting the employee wellness unit in the institution.
