Today, 30th July 2026 UMkhanyakude District Municipality convened a Special Council Meeting on chaired by Hon. Speaker Cllr. Petros . Madlopha.
His Worship the Mayor Cllr. Siphile Mdaka, Jozini Municipality His Worship the Mayor Cllr Nkosinathi Myeni, Executive Committee members, councillors and management were in attendance.
Council noted reports on Cost Containment, MFMA Section 52(d), the June Budget, and Quarter 4 Council Resolutions.
Resolutions adopted include: Traditional Leaders’ participation in Committees, appointment of uMhlosinga Board, review of Car Allowance Policy, Revenue Debt Relief, procurement of water tankers, and the 2025-2026 Disaster Management Report.
"These decisions prioritize service delivery and financial discipline," said Mayor Mdaka."
