uMhlosinga Development Agency (UMDA), the development entity of the uMkhanyakude District Municipality led by Mayor Cllr Siphile Mdaka, is hosting an Induction Programme for its newly appointed Board of Directors, facilitated by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (KZN COGTA).
The programme is aimed at familiarising Board Members with UMDA's legislative mandate, governance framework, strategic objectives, institutional responsibilities and development priorities.
The induction provides an important foundation for the Board to effectively fulfil its strategic leadership, oversight and governance responsibilities in support of the Agency's mandate to drive investment and sustainable economic development within the District.
Under the leadership of Mayor Cllr Siphile Mdaka, UMDA remains committed to sound governance, accountability and effective leadership in advancing sustainable development within the uMkhanyakude District.
