UMkhanyakude District Municipality is pleased to confirm that repairs to the Makopini Water Supply Scheme in Hlabisa Big 5 have been completed and water supply has been restored.
The borehole pump (1.5kW, 230v) was detected faulty two weeks ago, affecting supply to the community. A new pump has been installed and the scheme is now back to normal operation as of 14 September 2026.
The Municipality extend gratitude to Makopini community , Ward 12, for their patience during the repair period.
